The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study of proposed improvements to the intersection of Zemel Road at Burnt Store Road (CR 765) in southern Charlotte County. The project limits are shown on the map below. The purpose of this project is to improve geometric and safety conditions at the existing intersection. The PD&E study will evaluate potential engineering and environmental effects of proposed intersection improvements. This study will be conducted in consultation with Charlotte County so that it is compatible with the Burnt Store Road widening project.
